Beta terms
Clear boundaries for an early tool.
Leccy is pre-release business software. These plain-English terms explain what the founding beta is — and what it is not.
Draft updated: 6 September 2026
Pre-release status
The beta is supplied for evaluation and product research. Features may change, records may need to be re-entered, and availability is not guaranteed. Keep your normal business records and independent backups.
Not certification or professional advice
The first beta is a job, quote and administrative reminder tool. It does not issue electrical certificates, reproduce BS 7671, assess compliance, specify remedial codes, or replace the judgement of a competent person. You remain responsible for every price, record, user-entered deadline, quote approval and export you choose to share.
Acceptable use
Use Leccy only for lawful business purposes. Do not use it to mislead a customer, falsify a record, infringe another person's rights or store information you are not entitled to hold.
Customer information
You decide what customer information to enter and are responsible for having an appropriate lawful basis, giving required privacy information and keeping the device and exports secure.
Ownership
You retain rights in the business data you enter. Caversham Digital retains rights in the Leccy software, product identity and supplied materials. Feedback may be used to improve the product without identifying you publicly unless you agree otherwise.
Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, the beta is supplied without a service-level promise and should not be the sole store for records required by law, contract or scheme rules.
Ending beta access
You may stop using the beta at any time. Caversham Digital may withdraw a pre-release build for safety, legal, security or product reasons.
These are launch-draft terms, not a substitute for advice. The publisher identity and liability wording require UK legal review before public distribution.
